What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy is the individualized and client-centered treatment
of those facing, emotional, psychological, physical or developmental challenges.
It includes the use of meaningful tasks and occupations in order
to assist clients to regain independence at home, school, or work.

Services

A variety of OT services are available for all ages with a particular focus on physical rehabilitation and complex pain management.

In-Patient Therapy

Therapy can be provided whilst you are still in hospital so that intervention and treatment can begin as soon as possible.

Out-Patient Therapy

All therapy services are offered at the well-equipped practice which is situated at 147 Cape Road, Mill Park.

Home-Based Therapy

Should transport and mobility be limited, therapy can be conducted in your own home, however, services and equipment may be restricted.

Orthopedics & Skin

Fractures, joint replacements, spinal cord injuries, hand injuries, amputations, deformities, arthritis, burns, oedema, scar management, etc.

Neurology & Cognition

Strokes, cardiovascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, concussions, Parkinson’s, muscular dystrophies, cognitive fallout, Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc.

Chronic Pain

Arthritis, lupus, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic whiplash syndrome, cancer, chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS), central sensitization conditions, etc.
